February 24th - FOREST FAIRIES & WOODLAND CREATURES Let your child’s imagination run wild! We will read a magical story, build tiny homes, and even create a magical story of our own. Let’s explore nature, make-believe, and find some magic! February 26th ‐ WINTER ADAPTATIONS Not only is winter cold, but food can be hard to find. Many animals have gifts that help them to survive. We will explore these gifts and learn how animals have changed over time to thrive in winter. March 10th - SOUND SAFARI Shhhh, nature is talking! Together we will slow down, listen closely, and uncover the many sounds of nature from chirping birds to rustling leaves and more. We will hike, paint, and make our own musical instruments using natural items. March 12th ‐ SHINRIN-YOKU We will slow down our pace, engage our senses, and breathe deeply as we try out the Japanese practice of forest bathing. April 14th - SCAT SCAVENGER HUNT Using picture clues, magnifying glasses, and exploration, we will learn all about scat. Animal droppings tell us important stories about what animals eat, where they live, and how they move through their habitats. Let’s put the clues together and learn about the residents of our forest! April 16th - CLAY! Clay is an amazing material that can be found here at camp. We will hike to a nearby 'clay bank' where we’ll get our hands dirty as we explore this treasure beneath our feet. We will return to the outdoor classroom where we can create with clay. April 28th - FLOWERS & POLLINATORS Together we will discover how bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators help our environment. We will observe pollinators, play games, and create flower art. We are buzzing with excitement! April 30th ‐ EGGS Let’s learn about oviparous animals. Our activities will include exploring egg shells, comparing different eggs, and going on a special egg hunt. Ages: 3 thru 8 year olds 8 attendees min/12 attendees max Select Tuesdays and Thursdays - 12:30pm - 2:00pm LUNCH BUNCH OPTION! Is your child signed up for a Little Explorers camp? Sign-up for the Lunch Bunch. Your child will eat lunch, free play and be delivered to their afternoon enrichment class. Children will be picked up from camp at the completion of their Enrichment class. Lunch Bunch only available for students signed up for afternoon Enrichment class. Children in the Little Explorers three-day camp will join Lunch Bunch at 12:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost: $3:00 per student
