Megan Gessler
Director, Prof. Dev. and Lead Guide
Megan received her Masters Degree and Certificate of Nature Based Early Childhood Education from Antioch University New England. She is a Certified Master Naturalist and Certified NatureStart educator. Megan founded the Northern Illinois Nature Play Association (NINPA) and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the Natural Start Alliance.
Megan is a co-author of the Children's Environmental Kinship Guide and founding member of Environmental Kinship International, and co-author of Nature-based Early Childhood Program Assessment & Guidebook. When she isn’t teaching, Megan likes to snow ski, kayak, boat, walk her dogs, or travel with her family.
Megan is the Little Explorers Program Director and Lead Educator for the 3-day session and she leads our Professional Development offerings for early childhood educators.
